Baltimore is my favorite place for a weekend getaway. It’s a quick 2 hour drive from Philly, has great restaurants & lots of relaxing things to do. Usually Byron and I go in the spring and summer, but we decided to go for new years for something different!
We started our trip off with dinner at Bo Brooks, our favorite place to get fresh crabs.
Then we walked to watch the fireworks over the harbor…. they were ah-mazing!
For brunch, we ventured to Miss Shirley’s, a famous brunch place in downtown Baltimore. I kicked off the new year with some Tazo Tea, fried green tomatoes (breaded in a corn based mixture- so good!) and oatmeal. Byron got an incredible pork sandwich with bacon grits. Mmmm southern comfort food 🙂
We were so stuffed from brunch that we skipped out on lunch, and went to Edo Sushi for dinner. We had wasabi pork dumplings for an appetizer and those cucumbers laying next to each one were NECESSARY. They. Were. Spicy.
We love Edo because the fish is super fresh (says Byron, I am not good at judging fish) and they don’t skimp on the portions! I got a tuna avocado roll with some fancy cucumber slices on the side 🙂
Ringing in the new year with lots of delicious food…. of course 🙂
